Meet Us

Edward D. Lewis, MD

Edward D. Lewis, MD Edward D. Lewis, MD established his solo pediatric practice in 1981. He is a board-certified pediatrician in general private practice and a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. A graduate of Rutgers College and the University of Rochester Medical School, he did his pediatric training at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and Strong Memorial Hospital. He is currently president of Chapter 1, District 2 of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Lewis is a medical director for RochesterHealth.com and active in the American Medical Society and American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a past-president of the Monroe County Medical Society and the Medical, Educational and Scientific Foundation of NY. Dr. Lewis is also active in community organizations. He is the very proud father of three children.

Bess C. Lewis, MSN, PNP

Bess C. Lewis, MSN, PNP Bess C. Lewis, MSN, PNP has been certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner since 1990. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Rochester. Before working as a P.N.P., Bess was a Clinical Specialist in Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Instructor of Nursing at Edgecliff College in Cincinnati, and a Nurse Educator at Rochester General Hospital. She is currently on the adjunct faculty of the University of Rochester School of Nursing. She is an active participant in the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and its local project, Fostering Hope. Mrs. Lewis volunteers at the United Cerebral Palsy Center and the Rochester Area Interfaith Housing Network. She is the very proud mother of the same three children.
