As we move into the summer camp season, we have received a large number of requests for immunization records. For at least the last 10 years, we have provided all of our patients with their immunization records as well as NY State required childcare or school forms at their routine visits. We hoped that it would cut down on form requests and it has. Before calling for records, please make sure you don’t already have them.
We are also encouraging families to enroll in our patient portal (www.lewispediatrics.com). It is similar to, but not, My Chart since we do not use the same electronic medical record. Our portal will allow you access to immunization records as well as other information. It also will allow us to send you forms and records more efficiently. (Email requests have to be encrypted and take several “extra” steps to complete).
Lastly, as we start our “busy” season with annual physicals, please make sure you arrive ahead of your scheduled appointment time. We do our best to stay on time and hate to turn patients away if they arrive late for an appointment. As a courtesy to those who arrive on time, we do reserve the right to reschedule an appointment if you are more than 15 minutes late.
